EUROGI Webinar on ‘Location Data and GDPR’

GDPR became active on the 25th May 2018 and like many significant and technical legal changes nothing dramatic was expected to happen. Many were comparing it to Y2K – a lot of fuss about something minor. Except that from day one of GDPR Google, Facebook and some of Facebooks associated companies found themselves reported to varies Data Commissionaires for GDPR infringements. There has been a growing number of companies across Europe have also been reported for GDPR infringements.
It is this context of new a legislative landscape that EUROGI is holding this webinar. The emphasis of the webinar will be focused around location data and GDPR. The webinar will review the antecedents, purpose of GDPR and what needs to be in place for GDPR in a practical non legal way. It will then move into a Demo of tool developed by one of EUROGI members designed for the industry to help with GDPR.
