On 10 September 2025, EUROGI hosted a webinar exploring the role of geospatial information in addressing global health challenges. Dr. Justine Blanford (University of Twente) presented how climate change, extreme weather, and vector-borne diseases are reshaping health risks and demonstrated the use of GIS, AI, and Earth observation in mapping vulnerabilities, disease trends, and healthcare accessibility.
The session also highlighted innovative tools such as digital twins, citizen science, and AI-driven data analysis, showing how they can inform public health policies and interventions.
