EUROGI General Board Meeting 2026: Strengthening Partnerships in Benidorm

For the second consecutive year, EUROGI is pleased to announce that its General Board Meeting (GBM) will be held in conjunction with the GISTAM Conference. This gathering takes place on 21 May 2026 at the Meliá Villaitana in Benidorm, Spain, as part of our ongoing institutional partnership.

By aligning our GBM with one of Europe’s leading conferences on Geographic Information Systems Theory, Applications, and Management, EUROGI continues to foster closer ties between institutional governance and technical innovation.

A Strategic Hub for the Geospatial Community

The GISTAM conference serves as a vital meeting point for researchers and practitioners addressing the latest challenges in geospatial sensing, AI, and spatial data analysis. For EUROGI members, this synergy offers a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research while participating in the strategic decisions that shape our organization.

Why attend the 2026 GBM?

• Strategic Decision-Making: Members will review and decide on EUROGI’s latest initiatives in networking, professional training, and joint projects.

• Networking and Growth: The event provides a forum to connect with key academic and industrial players from across Europe.

• Visibility for Members: EUROGI will be conducting professional promotional interviews and video segments for members attending in person. These are designed to provide participants with high-quality content for their own social media channels and member communications.

Focus Session: The Future of the Sector

Following the formal board proceedings, EUROGI will host an expert Round Table in the afternoon. This session will bring together specialized voices to discuss the evolving landscape of the geospatial industry. Attendance is highly encouraged for those looking to gain insights into the policy and technology shifts defining our “Changing Planet.”
